Zainab Haruna

Mrs Zainab Haruna attended Eveva Primary School, Okugbe, Okpella, Edo State. Thereafter, she enrolled at Kabba Teachers’ College, in the then Kwara State, now Kogi State of Nigeria, where she obtained her Teachers’ Grade II Certificate in 1986. In her quest for knowledge, she proceeded to Bayero University, Kano where she obtained B.A. Library Science/English in 1994.

Upon graduation, Mrs Zainab Haruna observed her one year mandatory service (NYSC) at Bendel Cement Factory, Okpella, Edo State between 1994 and 1995. Upon completion of NYSC scheme, Mrs Zainab Haruna was employed at Auchi Polytechnic as a Librarian II in the Polytechnic Library. In her quest for further knowledge in her field, Mrs Zainab Haruna proceeded to the Delta State University, Abraka, where she bagged a Master degree (M. Sc) in Library and Information Science in 2005.

Mrs Zainab Haruna is a Certified Librarian of Nigeria (CLN) bestowed on her by the Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN). She is also a member of the Nigerian Library Association (NLA). Her research interest is in the area of Library and Information Science. She has to her credit several article publications in reputable journals both national and international. She has also delivered numerous papers in conferences and seminars.
